Sygna suit - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokmon encyclopedia
From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
A sygna suit (Japanese: マジコス Serious Costume) is a special type of outfit appearing in Pokémon Masters EX that makes a Trainer match the appearance of their partner Pokémon. According to Brock, sygna suits are designed to give Trainers a stronger connection to their Pokémon. Wearing the outfit is said to make the Trainer feel as if they have become their Pokémon. Many sync pairs on Pasio involve a Trainer wearing a sygna suit to differentiate one sync partner Pokémon from their normal sync partner, and it is possible to scout for these Trainers to join the player's team.
In-universe, most sygna suits are designed by a famous fashion designer on Pasio, who makes the suits for free and often unprompted by the sync pair that inspired them. Some sygna suits, such as Lysandre's, are confirmed to be designed by someone else, but they are still designed with a specific sync pair in mind. Others, such as Acerola's and Lana's, were originally created for some other purpose, before the Trainer had paired up with the Pokémon who inspired the outfit's design. Olivia says these are "similar to sygna suits", not sygna suits themselves. However, these sync pairs are still treated the same as any other sygna suit sync pair.
The game credits list Emi Ando, Kyoko Abe, and Misaki Hashimoto of Game Freak as the designers of sygna suits.
