Finding the best pumpkin spice syrup was not easy. So, you were right to come to us for advice. Because pumpkin spice coffee syrup is not cheap—you can’t just buy up every pumpkin spice syrup on a whim without making sure you’ll actually like it first. Because it’s my actual job (wild, I know), I tasted seven different pumpkin spiced syrups and only two were good enough to make this list.

I sipped each pumpkin spice syrup on its own and also tried it in coffee. I looked for—and this is going to seem shocking—actual pumpkin spice flavor. Like, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace—basic fall spices. You know what I didn’t want to taste? Meat. Yes, some of these syrups tasted meaty. Weird! I also didn’t want bland sugar syrup. It doesn’t seem hard, but apparently it’s difficult to make a good pumpkin spice syrup.

Best Sugar-Free

This sugar-free pumpkin spice syrup smells extremely toasty and inviting. And while it doesn’t taste like cheesecake, it does have a definite cookie crust flavor. And it also features a blend of classic pumpkin spices. Most importantly for a sugar-free pumpkin spice syrup, though, it does not taste too much like artificial sweetener.

Made without any artificial flavors or preservatives this pumpkin spice syrup is all cane sugar, baby. That means real sugar flavor mixed with lots of cinnamon flavor. It’s still not perfect but it complements roasty, bitter coffee better than any other pumpkin spice syrup I tried. It tastes the closest to a pumpkin spice drink at Starbucks. It’s the best pumpkin spice syrup for coffee (hot or iced) for sure. If you really want to fall it up, combine this pumpkin spice syrup with the best pumpkin spice coffee and the best pumpkin spice coffee creamer. You’ll be living the pumpkin spice dream.
